Northern Samar recipient of Mobile Training Laboratory of TESDA

CATARMAN, Northern Samar – Northern Samar being one of the poorest provinces is one of the recipients of Mobile Training Laboratory, a product of collaborative efforts between the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), this was learned from Engr. Zosimo de Asis, TESDA Provincial Director.

Accordingly, the project aims to support inclusive growth by reaching the unreached and serving the underserved sector of society. It envisioned to create jobs, reduce poverty and drew into the economic and social mainstreams the majority of people in the remote provinces.

DOH,DepEd urge parents to allow their children to be vaccinated


CATARMAN, Northern Samar – The Department of Health in coordination with the Department of Education urged parents to allow their children to avail the School Based Immunization (SBI) program this month of August to prevent them from disease and ailments.

North Samar National Immunization Program Coordinator Naome Mercader said all grade 1 pupils will be immunized with Measles Containing Vaccine (MCV) and Tetanus Diptheria (TD), Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine for female Grade 4 pupils, while Grade VII students will be given Measles Rubella (MR) and TD vaccines which are highly recommended by DOH.
