CATARMAN, Northern Samar – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has released the Typhoon Nona emergency shelter assistance (ESA) to 13 local government units in the province of Northern Samar earlier this month.
Social Welfare and Development Head Nena Getalado said the thirteen towns were Bobon, Biri, Capul, Gamay, Lapinig, Lope de Vega, Pambujan, Rosario, San Antonio, San Isidro, San Vicente, Victoria, and Silvino Lubos.

CATARMAN, Northern Samar, – A total of 46,512 families of Northern Samar enjoy the benefits from Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, a human development strategy of the national government that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, to improve the health, nutrition, and the education of children 0-18 years of age, said Mr. Alvin Maldos, DSWD-Provincial Pantawid Link, in a radio program interview at Station DYSM hosted by PIA, Northern Samar.
True to all beneficiaries, for education cash grant, a family receive P300 per child per month for a maximum of 3 children and P500 for high school, and for health grant, a family receive P500 per month.
