The Provincial Government of Northern Samar takes pride in the achievement of Ms. Jovelyn Ejercito Galit of Laoang, Northern Samar, who placed 7th in the January 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers.

As a recognition of her achievement, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan unanimously approved a Resolution of Commendation, authored by BM Mary Ann Avalon, during their regular session yesterday Monday, March 21, 2022.

Likewise, Ms. Galit will be receiving an incentive of P20,000 from the office of Governor Edwin Ongchuan.

“For me, to be ranked 7th is God’s grace. I am happy about the result. I am happy that I made my family proud. I am grateful that my hometown is rejoicing about my small win,” Ms. Galit said.

Ms. Galit is a product of the Laoang I Central Elementary School and the Laoang National Technical High School. She took up Bachelor in Elementary Education at University of Eastern Philippines – Laoang Campus

Asked what she plans to do next, Ms. Galit considers becoming a Special Education teacher.

“I notice that many children with special needs are so left behind. I am planning to enroll in a master’s program in special education. I want to teach in a SPED class in Laoang,” Ms. Galit added.

Ms. Galit is the second board exam top 10 placer this month who hails from Northern Samar. Just recently, Ms. Jenny Beth De Asas also placed 7th in the February 2022 Social Worker Licensure Exam.
