CATARMAN, Northern Samar — The Department of Public Works and Highways – Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office (DPWH-NSSDEO) reports 57.08% work completion of the Mondragon-Silvino Lobos road construction.
This was learned from Mr. Rey Orsua, DPWH-NSSDEO information officer.
“This P235 Million road project was funded under the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process PAMANA (PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNAn) program, started on August 31, 2018 programmed for completion after 421 calendar days,” Briones added.
The project has long been awaited by the commuters and residents of the town of Silvino Lobos being isolated from the mainland because of its inaccessibility.
“The livelihood of the people of the town will definitely improve, economy will rise, and opportunities for growth will come at hand if the road to Silvino Lobos will be completed,” Briones said.
“But most important, aside from development, this will certainly bring peace not only in the locality but to the whole province as well,” said Briones. (nbq/ADiaz/PIA-Northern Samar)
